Toe Beans
What it means
A cute name for paw pads; "bean colour" (pink, black, mixed) is a favourite topic among cat owners.
Where it came from
Named for the resemblance: Wiktionary defines toe bean as any of the digital pads on an animal's paw, "from the resemblance to beans", and the Cat Fanciers' Association calls it the nickname for a cat's toe pads because they look like jelly beans. Live Science notes the pads work as shock absorbers and give grip.
