About PetMemes

PetMemes explains the cat and dog memes and slang going around TikTok, Instagram, X and Reddit in plain English. Every rising entry links the reports we used and shows the date we last checked it.

Our rules

• Only pets and cartoons — we don't explain memes built on swapping real people's faces.
• We don't re-host other people's videos or photos; we link to the sources.
• AI-made clips are labelled as AI.
• All illustrations on PetMemes are our own drawings made in code — no stock photos, no copied memes, no AI image generators.

How we measure popularity

Each entry shows only public counts we could read ourselves, with the date: the Know Your Meme view counter, Wikipedia's monthly pageviews, and YouTube's own (rough) estimate of search results. We skip YouTube numbers when the search is mostly an unrelated song. Google Trends and Reddit block our server, so we don't quote them rather than guess.
