Meowpin (妙脆角小猫)
What it means
Meowpin expresses burnout, quiet acceptance or just being too tired to fight. The usual Chinese caption is 生活磨平了我的棱角 — "life has worn down my edges" — a pun on the rounded head.
Where it came from
Know Your Meme says the base photos are of Guapi, a well-known Chinese cat on Douban since around 2011. In mid-2026 people rounded her head and shaped the ears like 妙脆角 (Bugles) chips; it went viral on Douyin and Bilibili by early July 2026 and spread to English platforms as "Meowpin".
